In all of what is nature and natural, there is an inspiration for my paintings," says Marie. The artist was born in California, raised in Seattle, and spent time in Las Vegas and Corvallis, OR. She has a BFA from UNLV and taught at Chaparral High school in Las Vegas for 10 years before moving to Kansas City, Missouri in 1980. Marie recently opened a new studio and gallery at 616 Main Street in Weston, Missouri where she exhibits her multi-faceted contemporary art including the dog-inspired artwork. She also exhibits at the Strecker Nelson Gallery in Manhattan Kansas. Marie helps animal rescue organizations around the country raise money with her personal art contributions and through Bella Company, Marie's t-shirts and caps company. |
